When I made the decision to set out on my own, I had no idea what the future would hold. For nearly thirty years, I had worked in corporate settings, where, besides a paycheck, I was assured of all the trappings that often go along with such a position like benefits, closets full of office supplies, IT support, administrative assistants and an endless cache of “pods” that I could feed into a coffee maker. I had massive budgets at my disposal, a staff of people that cared about “moving the needle” and agencies that produced award-winning work on my behalf. Despite those things, however, I knew I had more to offer and wanted to do something different.
Today, because of the trust that my clients have put in me, I have a growing copywriting and content development business. I’ve worked with people around the world (literally) and have developed copy and content for products and services that have ranged from the commonplace to the space-aged to the new-aged. The businesses I serve come from varied industries including technology, commercial real estate, finance, web design, luxury goods and business coaching, to name a few. Each day holds a new adventure, and I can’t think of a more exciting way to work.
